Climbing competition: Competition of Zwekabin ascending and descending held

With the aims at enjoying the natural beauties of Zwekabin Mountain which is a landmark of Kayin State, organizing people in the sport of climbing mountain and the health and fitness of the people by pursuing the sport activities, a competition of ascending and descending Zwekabin Mountain started at 6 a.m. on 1st of January, 2022 from Dadaphyu, Thit-Khwa Vilage at the east of Zwekabin.

The competition divided four events of men and women over 40 years of age and those of under 40. A total of 486 men and women participated in the competition.

The Chief Minister of Kayin State U Saw Myint Oo, state minister for natural resource U Zaw Win,  Zwekabin Sayadawgyi Baddanta Kawidaza, town’s elder U Saw Phoe Ni, chairman of Du-PaLarYar District of KNU Pado Saw Shwe Maung, chairman of Pha-An Climbing Association, KNU/KNLA-PC Vice Chairperson Dr. Naw Kapaw Htoo and departmental officials awarded cash prizes and victory cups.
