Thailand further eased its lockdown restrictions on Monday. People in Thailand can now go to boxing gyms and sports venues to train, have traditional massages and return to theatres and cinemas. The Major Cineplex group closed its doors to Bangkok's moviegoers in mid-March. Moviegoers are allowed to sit together but there has to be a two-seat gap between them, plus a physical partition and the row in front has to be empty.

In line with other already-reopened public spaces, patrons have to observe strict hygiene measures and social distancing. Also, on Monday, one of Thailand's best-known beaches reopened, in Pattaya. As of Monday, Thailand has reported 3,082 virus cases with just 60 of those still active, according to figures from Johns Hopkins University.
