Chinese VP ignites Beijing torch 2022

The Chinese vice Premier ignited the torch with the Olympic flame and handed it over to the first torch bearer. The torch of Beijing Winter Olympics was relayed two days before the start.135 torchbearers joined the morning relay in the Olympic Forest Park. The torch relay will continue until Friday.

The torch will be passed through the three host zones of the game. A few hundred selected people were at the ceremony in northern Beijing, with the general public urged not to watch it in person as part of the strict pandemic measures.
