Chinese premier meets South Korean president

Chinese Premier Li Qiang said that China is ready to work with South Korea to overcome interference, meet each other halfway, and advance bilateral relations progressing with the times.

Li made the remarks during a meeting with South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol in Jakarta. Li urged the two sides to respect each other's core interests and major concerns, and safeguard the overall interests of bilateral relations.

For his part, the South Korean president said that his country is ready to work with China to enhance communication and dialog at all levels, deepen exchanges and cooperation in economy and trade, culture and other fields, practice multilateralism and free trade, promote the steady and sound development of bilateral relations, and foster world peace and prosperity.
