Chinese hospital ship arrives in Solomon Islands

Chinese naval hospital ship “Peace Ark”, which is on the Harmonious Mission 2023, concluded its seven-day visit and medical service in Solomon Islands. The ship for the fourth stop of the mission arrived in Port Honiara in the Solomon Islands to offer treatment to Solomon Islanders.

The ship arrived just over a month after the Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands Manasseh Sogavare visited China, signing a raft of deals including an agreement allowing Beijing to maintain a police presence in the Pacific island country until 2025.

Peace Ark has provided free medical service to the local people and oversea Chinese. During the seven-day visit, Peace Ark has served medical checks, operations and treatment for local people.
