Chinese start-up Unitree Robotics releases a video of its new "Superman" robot on Monday, which it says can achieve a standing high jump of 2 metres and reach a top speed of 12.66 metres per second. Unitree plans to make its market debut on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
The company says the machine has surpassed the standing high-jump and running-speed records of humans worldwide, after just over three months of development. With substantial room for further optimization, Unitree says the robot's performance could improve significantly in the months ahead.
