China's top diplomat meets Jordanian counterpart

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi in Beijing on Sunday. Wang told Safadi, who is accompanying King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein on a visit to China, that the King's visit will be a complete success.

Wang said China appreciates Jordan's firm commitment to a friendly policy toward China and its adherence to the one-China principle, and will continue to support Jordan in safeguarding its independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. Safadi said Jordan appreciates China's positive and responsible role on Middle East issues, especially its firm support for the two-state solution to the Palestinian question, Safadi said.
