China is inviting scientists to submit space science and application projects that they want to conduct at China's Tiangong space station. Gui Haichao, a payload expert and a member of the Shenzhou-16 crew who are now performing missions in the space station, sent a message from space and explained some details of the application.

The China Manned Space Engineering Office issued a document of guidelines in mid-June on the collection of space science and application projects, covering the four major areas of space science and human body research, microgravity physical science, space astronomy and Earth science, and new space technologies and applications. The submission system for these projects officially opened on July 20 and will be closed on Aug. 10.
