China reports 327 new confirmed cases of coronavirus infection, 44 new deaths

Chinese health authority said on Friday that it received reports of 327 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus infection, 44 deaths and 452 additional suspected cases of the disease on Thursday from 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.

The latest data indicated that 3,622 patients were cured and discharged from hospital, 394 got out of serious conditions and 10,525 people in close contacts with confirmed patients were released from medical observation under quarantine on Thursday.

By the end of Thursday, 135 confirmed cases had been reported in China's Hong Kong and Macao Special Autonomous Regions and Taiwan region, with 93 in Hong Kong, including 26 discharged from hospital and two deaths; 10 in Macao, including eight discharged from hospital; and 32 in Taiwan, including six discharged from hospital and one death.
