China reports 31 new coronavirus cases with 30 imported on Sunday

China on Sunday reported a total of 31 new cases of the COVID-19 disease, the National Health Commission said on Monday. By the end of Sunday, 723 imported cases had been reported, the commission said. The commission also said 165 people were still suspected of being infected with the virus. A new domestic case was reported in Gansu Province.

The overall number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland had reached 81,470 by the end of Sunday. No new confirmed case was reported in Wuhan, capital of Hubei on Sunday. The health commission of Hubei Province said the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Hubei remained unchanged at 67,801 by Sunday, including 50,006 in Wuhan. By the end of Sunday, 641 confirmed cases including four deaths had been reported in Hong Kong, 38 confirmed cases in Macao and 298 in Taiwan, including three deaths. A total of 118 patients in Hong Kong, 10 in Macao and 39 in Taiwan had been discharged from hospital upon recovery.
