China and New Zealand on Thursday agreed to jointly advance negotiations on a services trade "negative list" under their bilateral Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

This agreement builds upon the upgraded FTA protocol that went into effect in 2022 and earlier bilateral commitments made by the leaders of both nations. The ongoing push to finalize the negative list aims to provide greater simplicity, certainty, and market access for service exporters.
