China makes solid preparation for moon landing

China is making solid progress in research and development to realize a manned lunar landing by 2030. Foreign astronauts will be included in the mission and China will officially invite foreign astronauts to participate.

At present, China has a complete manned space station and manned space shuttle transportation system, a mature system for astronaut selection, training and support, and a clearly planned manned mission that is conducted regularly twice a year, Deputy Director, China Manned Space Agency CMSA said at a press conference on the Shenzhou-17 crewed mission. According to CMSA, the Shenzhou-17 crewed mission is set to launch to the country's Tiangong space station from the Satellite Launch Center in northwest China in Thursday morning.
