China and Indonesia held high-level security and defense talks in Jakarta on Friday, featuring a "2+2" ministerial meeting and the inaugural Comprehensive Strategic Dialogue.

The meetings focused on expanding military, maritime, and technological cooperation, following recent joint naval drills. Collaborative efforts also included the areas like AI, communications satellites, energy, and key minerals. The talks underscore Beijing's regional reach while Indonesia maintains its traditional non-aligned foreign policy, balancing ties between China and the United States.
