China, Britain agree on strategic partnership

Chinese President Xi Jinping met with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Beijing on Thursday. Starmer arrived in the Chinese capital on Wednesday to begin a four-day official visit to China. During their meeting in the Great Hall of the People, both sides committed to strengthen dialogue and cooperation to safeguard world peace and stability and advance the economic development and people’s livelihood of both nations.

  They also emphasized on maintaining high-level exchanges, enhancing cooperation across various fields including trade, investment, finance, and environmental protection, so as to bolster mutual economic growth and bring benefits to the people of both nations.
