China-Belarus "Swift Eagle 2026" airborne drills kick off in Hubei

Chinese and Belarusian airborne troops launched the "Swift Eagle 2026" joint training with an opening ceremony on Wednesday, in Hubei Province of China. Marking the fourth iteration of bilateral military exercises, the drills center on subjects including surveillance and counter-surveillance, seizure-and-control and protection, elimination and defense.

The exercise also focuses on joint urban counter-terrorism operations, aiming to strengthen the combined operational capabilities for carrying out counter-terrorism missions.
