Chilean court sentences 34 members of Venezuelan criminal gang to almost 560 years in prison

A Chilean court has sentenced 31 Venezuelans and three Chileans to prison terms totaling almost 560 years. The defendants were members of the violent Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, which was recently added to the United States' list of terrorist organizations, according to prosecutors.

The regional prosecutor said "It doesn't end here. This month, Arica's public prosecutor's office is requesting 12 extradition orders to the United States, Colombia and Peru because the crimes are extremely serious".
