





A ceremony to present fund contributions, gifts and outstanding academic achievement awards to the children of police personnel who had successfully passed the 2024–2025 academic year matriculation examination was held at the Ye Zarni Hall of the Office the Commander of Tanintharyi Region Police Force in Dawei Township, on September 4.
At the ceremony, Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko stated that the region has already established a Retired Police Officers Association as well as a Regional Organizing Committee for Retired Police Officers. He noted that township-level funds have been set up to support retired police associations, that efforts have been made to provide office land plots for the association in Tanintharyi Region, and that job opportunities have been facilitated for retired members. He added that the retired police personnel have also been actively participating, in cooperation with relevant departments, in weekly Saturday community cleaning and beautification programs in Dawei. The Chief Minister stressed the need for retired police officers to continue working toward the expansion of their associations while also contributing with responsibility to domestic security and rule of law undertakings.
Following this, Chief Minister U Myat Ko handed over a fund contribution of 7 million kyats to the Dawei Township Retired Police Officers Association. The donation was received by U Khin Maung Myint, Minister for Natural Resources of Tanintharyi Region and Chairman of the Regional Supervisory Committee for Retired Police Associations, who in turn presented a certificate of honor issued by the Myanmar Retired Police Officers Federation to the Chief Minister.
