Central Committee Meeting : Security supervision during the upcoming Election

Central Committee on Security Supervision during the Multiparty Democracy General Election held its meeting at the Myanmar Police Force Headquarters on Friday.

Committee Chairman Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung attended the meeting and made a speech, stressing the need to pay special attention to the security measures, and to understand the duties and rights entrusted by the law.

He said as of September 2nd, three cases has been taken action under the Law on the Protection of Multiparty Democratic General Elections from Obstruction, Disruption and Destruction. He stressed the need to continue monitoring the destructive acts, committed through online media platforms. He called for collaboration and coordination among the respective security organizations to ensure regional stability and community peace during all phases of the election.
