Central Comm. for Peace Facilitation: Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Speaker received CCPFCC delegation

The Speaker of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw U Aung Lin Dwe and the Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw U Khin Yi received a delegation led by the member of the Central Committee for Peace Facilitation of Christian Churches in Myanmar Member Reverend Dr. Morris Lian Na and Joint Secretary (1) Reverend U Saw Chit Myo, at the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Building (D) after the Hluttaw session.

The delegation had come to observe the proceedings of the Eighth Day of the Second Regular Session of the Third Pyidaungsu Hluttaw.  During the meeting, Reverend U Saw Chit Myo explained matters related to religious affairs, the peace facilitation efforts being undertaken by various Christian churches, and the status of peace prayer events being held in regions and states for peace in Myanmar.

Afterward, the Speaker of Pyidaungsu Hluttaw and the Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw expressed their gratitude for the efforts of the Central Committee for Peace Facilitation of Christian Churches in Myanmar regarding peace initiatives. They emphasized that only with peace can the country develop, and provided updates on the current peace efforts being carried out by the State.

At the conclusion of the event, members of the Central Committee presented commemorative gifts to the Speaker of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw and the Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw, it’s reported.
