Celebration in Magway : Commemorative event for World Teachers' Day

Since 1994, the World Teachers' Day celebration has been held annually on October 5 across regions and states.

At the event in Magway Region, Chief Minister U Tint Lwin read out the message sent by Acting President, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing. Region Education officer also read out the messages sent by five agencies under the United Nations.

This was followed by presenting gifts and cash of honor to teachers of aged 75-year and above. Later, the Chief Minister and officials presented prizes to winning  students in Article, Essay and Poem competitions marking the “World Teachers' Day” and presented cash of honors to the students and entertainment groups.
