Celebration in Kayah State : International Day of Older Persons marked in Loikaw

The International Day of Older Persons was celebrated at the Kayah State Hall in Loikaw on Wednesday. The event was attended by Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin, government officials, departmental staff, community organizations, and 50 elderly guests. In his opening speech, the Chief Minister appreciated the lifelong contributions of older persons to society.

He encouraged them to share their wisdom and experiences with younger generations, and called for community support to ensure older persons live with dignity and strong social connections. Gifts and honorariums were presented to elder representatives by the Chief Minister and officials while the health checkups and meals were provided to all elderly guests as part of the celebration.
