



A capacity building training for departmental personnel to prevent and respond to sexual violence in conflict began with an address by Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Thet Thet Khine. In her address at the Ministry, the Union Minister said that the training was to assist the concerned departments and organizations in implementing the National Action Plan on Prevention and Response to Sexual Violence in Conflict (2021-2022).
The training till November 11 covered courses including level of action on the complaint, the UN Secretary-General's Annual Report on Conflict-related Sexual Violence (CRSV) and Myanmar's inclusion in the report's annex list, measures to prevent serious crimes against children during armed conflict, crimes related to sexual violence, Helpline service, One Stop Women Support Centre and human rights. This 2nd 2-day training was joined by 50 departmental personnel – the 1st training was conducted in August 2022.
