Camel Festival showcases nomadic heritage

Camel herders from south Mongolia are participating in the traditional Camel Festival held in Dundgobi province, drawing attention for their distinctive efforts to preserve and promote their cultural heritage. Beyond competing in camel racing, they also handcraft their own traditional clothing as well as camel decorations.

This year’s Camel Festival has grown into a large-scale national event, bringing together camel herders from 10 provinces across the country. Participants compete in a variety of categories, including camel racing, the “Beautiful Couple” category, and the mature camel competition.
