Cambodia marks 70th anniversary of Independence

King Norodom Sihamoni and PM Hun Manet joined in celebrating the 70th anniversary of Cambodia’s Independence from France.

Thousands of Cambodian people, military personnel, and government officials joined the celebrations, which included releasing doves and balloons into the sky. “Cambodia always celebrates the anniversary every year on November 9 to pay gratitude and to remember our heroes, fighters and people who sacrificed lives for the independence, happiness and prosperity of our country," says Norodom Sihamoni,King of Cambodia.
