Bolsonaro attends motorcycle rally with supporters

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro attended a motorcycle rally with supporters in Brasilia on Sunday. Bolsonaro allowed the crowd to walk up the ramp of the Planalto Palace and took pictures with the group, with the majority of the people without masks. Bolsonaro took a short ride around the capital with his supporters, returning to the Planalto Palace.

The president is seeking more support from his followers as his political battles with the Senate and the Supreme Court intensify. On Thursday, Brazil's Supreme Court's chief justice cancelled a meeting that had been intended to mollify Bolsonaro and avert institutional crisis after the far-right leader continued railing against the court's justices.

Bolsonaro, who polls say is trailing ahead of his 2022 reelection bid, has embarked on a crusade to discredit the nation's electronic voting system and authorities who defend it as reliable.
