Blinken meets Italian FM, discuss virus, climate

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Rome on Sunday morning. Shorlty after his arrival, Blinken met with Italian Foreign Minister Luigi di Maio at the residence of Lewis M. Eisenberg, the US Ambassador in Rome.Blinken then met with representatives of the United Nations' food security agencies at the US Embassy in Rome.Following the meeting, Blinken held a press conference in the embassy's gardens, where he praised the close cooperation between the United States and its partners.

Antony Blinken, US Secretary of State said “whether it's COVID(-19), whether it's climate, whether it's the disruptive impact of all these new technologies that are shaping our lives, we know that not a single one can be effectively dealt with by anyone country acting alone, even the United States with all of our resources and power."
