Billiards and Snooker Competition: Deputy Minister attends the opening ceremony

The opening ceremony for region and state billiards and snooker competition 2025 was held at Padetha Sports Stadium in South Oakkalapa Township, Yangon Region on 2nd October.

Speaking on the occasion, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein stated that the representing athletes from respective regions and states need to show their best abilities during the competition and urged them to compete fairly by following rules and regulations.

Then, the Deputy Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee Deputy Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Htain Linn gave a speech urging the athletes to make efforts in order to become the State-honoured athletes.

After that, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Billiards Competition and viewed the billiards (individual event) and Snooker 15-red (individual event). Next, the Deputy Minister and party inspected the training processes and met with the camped-atheletes for 33rd SEA Games at Myanmar Rowing and Canoeing Federation on Innya Road.

Similarly, the Deputy Minister and party met with the athletes at Wushu training centre of the Institute of Sports and Physical Education (Yangon) in Tamwe township and Myanmar Billiards and Snooker Federation at National Indoor Stadium (1) Thuwunna respectively.
