Bilateral Relations: Commander-in-Chief receives Thai Ambassador

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services General Ye Win Oo received a delegation led by the Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar, Mr. Tor Saralamba in Nay Pyi Taw on the evening of August 31.

During the meeting, both sides held warm and open discussions, exchanging views on enhancing bilateral diplomatic relations, as well as strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two-armed forces. The talks also focused on maintaining peace, stability, and the rule of law in border areas, joint counter-terrorism efforts, effective measures to curb online fraud and gambling operations, and preventing the illegal trafficking of arms, ammunition, narcotics, and controlled precursor chemicals.
