Bilateral Engagement Activities: C-in-C (Air) received his Thai counterpart

At the invitation of the Commander-in-Chief (Air), General Tun Aung, a delegation led by the Commander in Chief of Royal Thai Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Punpakdee Pattanakul, and his wife arrived in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday via a Royal Thai Air Force ATR-72 aircraft to conduct Bilateral Engagement Activities aimed at further strengthening friendship between the air forces of Myanmar and Thailand.

Senior officers from the Myanmar Air Force, the Air Attaché of the Royal Thai Air Force to Myanmar, and responsible officials welcomed the delegation. The Commander-in-Chief (Air), General Tun Aung, received the delegation at Jasmine Hotel, where they held open and cordial discussions on cooperation between the two air forces and future collaboration plans.

After the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief (Air) presented sacred Buddha relics, Arahant relics, and a replica of the Maravijaya Buddha image to the Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force for enshrinement at the Phra Mahathat Naphamethinidon Naphabhumisiri Pagoda, which is being built under the leadership of the Royal Thai Air Force in Chiang Mai, Thailand. In return, the Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force presented a Buddha image as a Dhamma gift, and a group photo was taken to commemorate the occasion.

Later, the Commander-in-Chief (Air) and his wife hosted a luncheon in honor of the delegation led by the Commander in Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Punpakdee Pattanakul, and his wife. The two sides exchanged commemorative gifts. It is reported that the delegation departed for Yangon in the afternoon, where they paid respects at the Botahtaung Pagoda.
