Bilateral Cooperation: MoC UM received Ambassador of Pakistan

Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant received Mr. Tariq Karim, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Myanmar, at the reception hall of the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on January 13, 2026.

During the meeting, the Union Minister extended his warm congratulations and greetings on the Ambassador’s appointment to Myanmar and discussed ways to further strengthen the friendly relations between Myanmar and Pakistan.

They held open and cordial exchanges of views on implementing mutually beneficial cooperation programs aimed at improving the socio-economic well-being of the people, the development of roads, bridges, urban areas, and the housing sector, participation in infrastructure investment-related matters, cooperation in engineering and technical exchanges and the provision of technical assistance, with a view to fostering close collaboration in these areas, it’s learnt.
