Biggest Shiva Temple

Pumdikot has the huge statue of Shiva in Nepal. It is built at a higher place than other religious tourist places, has more arrivals of foreign tourists than domestic tourists. This Shiva temple that is claimed to be the biggest Shiva statue in Asia is yet to be see full completion. The full-sized structure is 108 feet tall while the ‘sitting statue’ is 51 feet tall.

It is being constructed at an estimated cost of 52.5 million Nepali rupees. The statue of symbolic peace, meditation center, martyr memorial park, Aquarium garden, play area, smart pillar, multipurpose hall, museum, shop, water fountain would also be built in statue area. Every month some 4 thousand tourists visit the temple while the number is expected to rise two folds after the largest statue is fully built.
