Better Health Treatment: Specialists render treatment in Kengtung

The Ministry of Health is actively exerting efforts for quality healthcare improvement to raise the basic socio-economic lives of citizens and lead a long and a healthy life for every individual.
A medical specialist team comprising of professors/specialists from Mandalay General Hospital, 1000-bedded NayPyiTaw General Hospital, 550-Bedded Children's Hospital-Mandalay, Yangon Eye Hospital and Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Specialist Hospital of Mandalay, offered medical treatment to a total of 838 local residents not only from Keng Tung but also from 13 nearby townships of Shan State, together with medical personnel from KengTung General Hospital under the program of the Ministry of Health from 15th to 16th March.
Among the patients, 2 neurosurgery patients, 1 patient with musculoskeletal disorder and 7 patients with eye disease were transferred to relevant public hospitals in Yangon,Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw in order to receive further examination and treatment.
The field medical team of ophthalmologists will continue medical treatment and perform eye surgeries to eye disease patients at KengTung General Hospital till 23rd March. Along with the program, Keng Tung Township Public Health Department administered the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination to a total of 91 locals.
Professors/specialists from Yangon, Mandalay and NayPyi Taw are already providing medical treatment for 12 times every weekend this year, including Keng Tung Township.
