Starting January 1st, 2025, Belgium will become the first European Union country to ban the sale of disposable e-cigarettes, commonly known as puffs. This move is part of Belgium's broader anti-tobacco plan, aimed at reducing tobacco use and protecting public health, particularly among young people.

Disposable e-cigarettes have become increasingly popular with youth, but concerns have grown about their health risks, especially since many young users may not fully understand the long-term consequences. The ban aligns with the EU's goal of achieving a tobacco-free generation by 2040.
