Beijing 2022 Winter Paralympics torch relay starts

Beijing 2022 Winter Paralympics torch relay started with Paralympic flames from nine locations including the UK's Stoke Mandeville, birthplace of the Paralympics, Beijing and Zhangjiakou, at Beijing's landmark Temple of Heaven on Wednesday afternoon. As Chinese Vice Premier Sun Chunlan announced the start of the torch relay, first torchbearer and Paralympian Chen Jianxin carried the torch and forged ahead. The torch relay will continue in Zhangjiakou, Yanqing and Beijing for another two days. The 2022 Winter Paralympics will open this Friday.
