Batman gets Hollywood Walk of Fame star

Batman, born in an American comic strip in 1939 and hero of several Hollywood blockbusters, got his star on the Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.

After Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny, Winnie the Pooh, Tinkerbell and Shrek - among others - Batman becomes the 14th fictional character to achieve this distinction, among the 2,790 stars that make up one of California's most popular attractions.
