









A delegation led by Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar Daw Than Than Swe attended digital finance and cybersecurity meetings in China from September 15 to 19.
The events focused on digital yuan, banking technology, cybersecurity, and cloud services. During the meetings, Chinese officials shared policies on foreign currency management, cross-border yuan transactions, and the development of digital yuan.
Challenges related to cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin were also discussed. The team also met with Bank of China and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China to explore cooperation through the Cross-border Interbank Payment System, aiming to boost trade and financial services between Myanmar and China.
In Shenzhen and Shanghai, the Myanmar delegation joined discussions with Huawei on digital banking technologies. Topics included the use of Artificial Intelligence in banking, customer service, fraud prevention, and risk management. Huawei also shared insights on cybersecurity best practices, IoT security, and cloud computing.
