Bangladesh's longest railway bridge

Bangladesh's longest railway bridge named Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Railway Bridge is going on in full swing over the river Jamuna. The total length of the bridge is 4.8 km. Among the total length, two kilometres long main structure of the bridge has already been completed.

The total work progress of the railway bridge is 65 percent. Once opening of the bridge, it will create a new horizon in the rail communication system and will accelerate the economy of the Northern region of the country. The Bangabandhu Railway Bridge is a lifeline connecting the north-western part with the eastern part of Bangladesh.
