Bangladesh’s new government to take oath

All 296 newly elected members of parliament of the 13th Parliament took oath at Parliament in Dhaka on Tuesday. The lawmakers first took oath as the members of parliament and then as the members of Constitutional Reform Council. At first the lawmakers elected from Bangladesh Nationalist Party including party Chairman Tarique Rahman took oath.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin administered the oath to the new cabinet members at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad. The Cabinet Division and the Parliament Secretariat have been taking all-out preparations for the oath taking ceremony since Saturday, two days after the 13th Jatiya Sangsad polls held.
