Bamboo-Based Industries : Workshop on bamboo pulp production

A workshop on bamboo pulp production was held at in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday. Union Minister for Industry and MSME Development Dr. Charlie Than attended workshop which focused on developing technology to produce pulp from bamboo.

The Union Minister said bamboo is a widely available renewable resource in Myanmar and stressed the importance of developing bamboo-based industries to support MSME growth, create jobs, and reduce paper imports.

He called for stronger cooperation between government departments, private businesses, and technical experts to implement the project successfully. The meeting discussed research findings, production methods, and future industrial applications.
