Bagan Archeological Zone: Tourism Industry Appears To Be Booming As Of April

Starting from the time after easing some COVID-19 restrictions, tourists can visit around the Bagan Archeological Zone in Mandalay region by following COVID-19 rules and regulations issued the Ministry of Health. And then the government makes necessary arrangements for the safety of the visitors.

Myo Min Aung, Assistant Director, Directorate of Hotels and Tourism, Bagan said “After the government eased some COVID-19 restrictions, over 800 foreign visitors visit Bagan and the arrival of visitors apparently increased starting from the month of April.  In June, a total of 2,100 tourists tour around Bagan. The responsible persons from the Shwe Zee Gon Pagoda have been given the healthcare guidance. 73 hotels are providing services and conducted trainings to the local people for socio-economic development and the job opportunities.”

Bagan Archeological Zone which covers the prominent pagodas, temples with ancient architectural heritages attracts the most of the local and international visitors and it’s the most famous tourist destination. The tourists are interested in the scenic beauties around the Bagan and the lifestyles of local people.

There are over 450 visitors visited to Bagan Archeological Zone on June, it’s learnt.
