Back Home: Locals Around Lay Kay Kaw Returned Home

Due to arrest the terrorists so-called NUG and PDF around Lay Kay Kaw New Town, Kayin State, some leaders of KNU/KNLA and terrorists so-called NUG and PDF and the members of security forces engaged in fire as of 15th December and the innocent locals have been displacing to other country to escape from the armed clashes.

The security forces restored the peace and stability around the area from 28th December and the innocent locals have been re-inviting to return their home with loud speaker in Kayin and Myanmar languages and also carried out negotiations with through Thai-Myanmar border relation committees. So, the displaced local people have been returning their homes.

On January 3, a total of 751 local people including 396 men and 355 women from Ingyin Myaing, Mae Htaw Thalay and Phalugyi Villages have returned.

They are accepted systematically by the responsible officials and the medical officers from the respective hospitals and the Tatmataw Medics tested COVID-19 and handed over documents for staying Quarantine and explained them about the directives of the Ministry of Health. The responsible officials from respective military command and the departmental officials also coordinated necessaries.
