Award Presenting Ceremony: Adjutant-Gen awarded individual and team winners

The final events and award presenting ceremony for the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services' Shield Tatmadaw (Army, Navy, Air) Track and Field Competition was held at the Zeyar Thiri Military Sports Ground in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area in the evening on September 16.

The Chairman of Tatmadaw Sports and Physical Education Committee, Adjutant-General  Lieutenant General Phone Myat, attended on behalf of the Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission and Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

First, Lt-Gen. Phone Myat and other attendees watched the final events, including the men's and women's 100-meter sprints, 1,500-meter races, and 400-meter relays, cheering on the competing teams. After that, the awards presenting ceremony began.

The Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Air) team won the men's championship shield, while the Coastal Region Command team won the women's championship shield. The Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Air) also received the combined men's and women's championship shield.

Officials presented awards to the individual and team winners for each event. Lt-Gen Phone Myat, on behalf of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, presented the championship shields, runner-up shields, and cash prizes to the winning teams, including the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Air). The competition, which featured 14 teams, took place from September 12 to 16, it’s learnt.
