Auxiliary Firefighter Training: Kayah State CM delivered the opening speech

The Kayah State Fire Department held the opening ceremony for the Auxiliary Firefighter Training Course No. (2/2025) on September 30th at the township hall in Loikaw, Kayah State. The State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin attended and delivered the opening speech.

First, in his opening remarks, the State Chief Minister stated that when fire hazards and natural disasters occur, it is essential to work effectively and swiftly alongside professional firefighters and auxiliary fire brigade members to conduct fire suppression and search and rescue operations. Since the auxiliary firefighters emerge from the local community, the training is intended to protect the lives, homes, and properties of the people and to enable them to carry out community-benefiting activities.

Subsequently, the State Chief Minister provided funding for the training expenses. The Director of the State Fire Department also handed over uniforms to the auxiliary firefighters, which were received by two representatives on behalf of the members. Furthermore, the State Minister for Security and Border Affairs presented uniforms to the auxiliary firefighters. The Director of the State Fire Department explained and clarified matters related to the opening of the refresher training course. 

Subsequently, the Chief Minister and responsible officials warmly greeted and encouraged the volunteer firefighters and auxiliary firefighters. 

It is learned that in the newly opened course, 100 auxiliary firefighter trainees will attend and receive both theoretical and practical lessons over the course of one week.
