Australia's foreign minister visits Tonga

Australia's foreign minister, Penny Wong during her visit to Tonga said regional security issues were "the responsibility of the Pacific family" which includes Australia.  Wong said Australia would continue to engage with partners in the region.

Penny Wong, Australian Foreign Affairs Minister said "We are not a government or a country that wants to come in and tell you what you should do. We are, we want, we see it in our interests as part and part of our responsibility as a member of the Pacific family to work with you. And that's the approach we'll take."

Wong's visit to Tonga comes less than two weeks after her government's election victory.
