Australia National Day Australia celebrates National Day

Residents of the Australian city of Sydney took part in various events and ceremonies on Thursday celebrating Australia Day.

A traditional smoke ceremony took place in Barangaroo Park at dawn and a choir sang the national anthem, while the sails of the Opera House in Sydney were covered with videos of traditional Indigenous paintings and a ferry race took place in the famous harbor.
