Audition For Asian Youth Games 2022: Myanmar Badminton Federation Selects Players

The Asian Youth Games will be held in Tokyo from 14th to 20thSeptember of this year. Myanmar Badminton Federation made an audition to select the athletes for this game at the Federation in Lanmadaw township, Yangon on Tuesday.

To participate in the Asian Youth Games 2022, 32 male athletes and 13 female athletes across the country who are under 16 were taken the audition.

KhineZar Lin, Coach, Institute of Sports& Physical Education (Mandalay) said “There are 2 males under 16 taken an audition from Institute of Sport & Physical Education, Mandalay. Currently, 3 male badminton players are being trained in Mandalay. So, they have no experience like others. But they will play the best to gain experience and also try to be able to participate in international level.”

The players are trained at 6:00 am to 7:00 am every morning and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm every evening at the Institute of Sports & Physical Education in Mandalay.

Eaint Chit Phuu, Player said “I have played badminton sport since I was seven years old and I have never experienced in the international competitions. But, I participated in the competition in local. If I am chosen, I will try my best to win medal in the Asian Youth Games 2022 (Tokyo). Badminton is not like other sports and it is fan for me. That’s why, I choose this sport.”

In the Asian Youth Badminton audition, each 3 males and females athletes were selected to compete in the Asian Youth Games 2022 (Tokyo).
