






Thailand is hosting 13th ASEAN Para Games at the designated sport grounds and revenues in Bangkok and Nakhon Ratchasima Province from January 20th to 26th.
On January 23rd, Myanmar Para athletes participated in chess, goal ball, swimming, sitting volleyball, shooting, table tennis, track and field, seven-a-side football, boccia and bowling events. In the (S3) S4 Men’s 200-meter swimming competition, Nyi Nyi Lin Htet won gold medal while the Philippines and Indonesia won silver and bronze medals respectively.
Myanmar Para swimming athlete Aung Myint Myat also won bronze medal in S6 Men’s 200-meter event and the Philippines grab gold medal and Viet Nam won silver.
At the prize awarding ceremony, ASEAN Para Sports Federation Chairman, Secretary of the Board of Governor and Chairman of Myanmar Paralympic Federation and officials presented awards to 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners. At the sitting volleyball, seven-a-side football, goal ball and boccia events, Myanmar Para athletes won the round robin matches.
At the track and field events held at 80th Birthday Anniversary Stadium in Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat), Myanmar Para athletes won one gold, 4 silver and one bronze medals.
At the Men’s 200-meter swimming event held on January 22nd, Myanmar won gold medal. Chairman of Myanmar Paralympic Federation and party enjoyed the Para games held at Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University, Central Korat Halla and Vongchavalikul University and encouraged the Para athletes. Currently, Myanmar won 7 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze medals in 13th ASEAN Para Games, ranking 6th place.
