Apple said it will invest 500 billion dollars in the United States over the next four years. Apple announced on Monday what it calls its largest-ever investment commitment. Under the plan, the IT giant will construct with partners a plant in the southern state of Texas. The plant will produce servers that support Apple's generative artificial intelligence. The firm will also set up a base in the Midwest state of Michigan.
The aim is to train next-generation US manufacturers and advance its development of semiconductors. Apple will create about 20,000 jobs through its investments in fields such as R&D and silicon engineering. CEO Tim Cook released a comment saying, "they're thrilled to expand their support for American manufacturing."
