Anti-Illegal Trade: Illegal Timbers And Vehicle Seized

The efforts are being made to take action against illegal trade across the country under the supervising of the Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee.

On 14 March, combined inspection teams led by the Bago Region Department of Forest conducted inspections according to a report and confiscated 61.70 tons of illegal teak logs (approximately worth over 2.709 Kyats) from a forest reserve in Bago District.

Similarly, combined inspection teams under the management of the Sagaing Region Anti-illegal Trade Special Task Force conducted inspections in Sagaing and seized an unregistered Honda Partner car (approximately worth 3.5 million Kyats), and action is taken under the Export/Import Law.

Therefore, two arrests (estimated value of over 6.209 Kyats) were made on 14 March, according to the Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee.
