The Union Election Commission (UEC) has announced that the general election will be held on December 28, 2025. On September 15, the UEC issued an announcement regarding advance voting for eligible voters who are outside their registered townships but are on the voter lists for various constituencies.

This includes individuals who are in schools, training centers, detention centers, hospitals, police detention centers, prisons, and temporary camps for internally displaced persons (IDPs). The announcement outlines the procedures for casting advance votes and the steps to take if an individual chooses not to vote in advance.

Additionally, the UEC has requested that local sub-commissions and relevant authorities collaborate to ensure that eligible voters in schools, training centers, detention centers, hospitals, and temporary IDP camps do not lose their right to vote.
